Another week goes by, and another with more video games. So immediately kicking off with video games, there has been a couple of games that I’ve been playing around with. I’ll do my best to describe the events with the best of detail.
Beginning with ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove, I’m going to try my best to be nice here. Okay, so I loved the original ToeJam& Earl. It was one of my favorite games from the Genesis era. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove reminds me of a reboot of the Genesis counterpart albeit with better graphics. The gameplay has been tweaked a bit, there is experience points that will level you up. This sort of turns the game into a bit of a role-playing experience. However, to call it an RPG would be false. It’s basically the original ToeJam & Earl with more of a story. I do like the game, however, I found the game to be incredibly short. I had played through it a few times, and struggled with words to describe how I felt about it. I liked it, but it was just a very simplistic experience. I think that the game will be a seller for people who enjoyed the original ToeJam & Earl (honestly, that’s why I bought it). As for anyone else, I’m not sure if I want to recommend this one. It’s just average at best, and seems like it was intended for people who were familiar with the series.
Moving along, I will now discuss my feelings towards The Division 2. So right off the bat, I do find that this game is a lot better than the first Division. It has a lot more interesting things to do in the open world, and overall is just a lot more enjoyable. However, I do find that the game feels a lot harder as well. I spent most of the time playing cooperatively with a friend, and on a few occasions we had noticed pretty big difficulty spikes. They weren’t detrimental, but it was kind of annoying doing story missions and getting stuck for a few hours because we just couldn’t beat some juggernaut who would absolutely destroy us with grenade lob spam. Overall, however, I have been enjoying the game a lot more than I thought I was going to after my experiences in the beta. It’s been fun, and I can see myself recommending The Division 2.
So, that’s all for now. I’m going to get back to playing The Division 2. There isn’t really much else that I’m going to get to for now. I’m probably going to be talking a lot about The Division 2 for the next while, prepare for spam!
